Do fans actually download the tape, or just stream it?

Both. Your release page has a built-in player for streaming, and fans get a download link after they unlock. You choose which tracks are downloadable.

Do I own the emails I collect?

Yes. Every email collected is yours. Export the list anytime. We don't email your fans unless you tell us to.

What file formats work?

WAV, MP3, and FLAC. Upload your masters — we don't re-encode or change the audio.

Can I charge for my next mixtape, or for a bundle?

Yes. Flip a release to paid, add a CD or tee to the page, or launch a fan subscription. The fans from your free tape are already on your list when you do.

What about samples and clearance?

ALERA isn't a distributor — your mixtape lives on your release page, not on Spotify or Apple Music. There's no Content ID scan. Rights clearance is your responsibility, same as anywhere else.
